A ROOM THAT TALKS BACK
Year: 2025
Material: Archival Pigment Print
Dimension: 20 (H) × 27.86 (W) in. (each photograph with voice graph)
Photography is the primary tool I use to test diverse concepts and the visual process. While experimenting with different equipment, I came across a device called a "sound trigger" that activates flash based on the measured sound volume in decibels. In my installation, "A Room that Talks Back," I used these triggers with ND filters to create one-minute-long exposures. Within this space, participants had 60 seconds to interact. While they made different sounds, the flashes reacted to their sounds, capturing their movements.
